Toyota Camry

Every Toyota Camry, from the lowly L to the priciest XSE, comes standard with automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping alert, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, and 10 airbags. The safest Camry, according to IIHS, is the XLE hybrid which, oddly enough, is the only Camry that offers optional adaptive headlights—which swivel in the direction you’re steering and earn the IIHS’s best rating of Good. The adaptive headlamps themselves are an easy $415 upgrade, but to order them Toyota insists you also spring for the Sunroof package ($860), the Navigation Upgrade package ($1810), and the Driver Assistance package ($2375). Unfortunately, all other Camry models must make do with a set of non-adaptive LED lamps that IIHS deemed to be Acceptable but not Good.
