The Nigerian government on Thursday recorded fourteen new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, bringing the total number to 65 nationwide.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) posted on its official Twitter handle: @ncdcgov that as at 8:35pm of 26th March 2020, there are 65 confirmed cases in the country.
“14 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 12 in Lagos.
“Of the 14, 6 were detected on a vessel, 3 are returning travellers into Nigeria & 1 is close contact of a confirmed case.
“Data as at 8:35pm of 26th March 2020, there are 65 confirmed cases; 3 discharged, 1 death.
“Further epidemiological information will be shared in our daily situation report, collated at midnight of each day.

“Currently, Lagos- 44; FCT- 12; Ogun- 3; Ekiti- 1; Oyo- 1; Edo- 1; Bauchi-1; Osun-1; Rivers-1. Total: 65 confirmed cases,” the tweet thread read.
