A man who endeavored to sell his own youngsters in a network in Calabar has been busted and captured by security agents.
Edet Essien Inyang, a Thirty-year-elderly person, has been secured by the police in Calabar for endeavoring to sell two of his youngsters, Vanguard reports.
As per a source, Clement Ekem, Edet took his two kids, one male and one female to Murray Street where he looked for purchasers to empower his fund-raise which he said will spare him from the destitution he is experiencing.
“He came here with the youngsters and asked after one rich man on this road and when he didn’t see the man we approached him what he was searching for the man for and he said was searching for somebody to purchase his two kids. He said the male youngster is N200, 000 each and the female 150,000”.
Ekem said they were shocked by what the man said and to prevent him from taking the youngsters some place to offer they needed to “defer him while reaching the police at Atakpa Police Station which is near to which promptly sent a group to capture him.
“He said he is from Akwa Ibom State yet lives in Using Inyang which is in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State”.
At the Atakpa Police Station, the Divisional Police Officer affirmed the capture of the man saying the issue has been exchanged to the State Criminal Division at the Police Command home office for further examinations.
DSP Irene Ugbo, the Cross River State police order Public Relations Officers said she is yet to be informed on the issue.
